Here are some of their top tips and key\u00a0information for families.<\/p>\n<h2>What is the minimum age on Carnival Cruises?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>International Cruises departing &amp; returning to Australia &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Children 12 months and over are welcome to cruise\u00a0with us. We are unable to accommodate infants under 12\u00a0months due to limited neo-natal facilities on board and at\u00a0ports of call.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Domestic Cruises departing &amp; returning to Australia &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Children 6 months and over are welcome to cruise with us.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Minimum Age in Cabin &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>To ensure there is suitable supervision, there needs to be at least one guest 18\u00a0years or older in each cabin. However, to accommodate\u00a0families cruising together, children may occupy a\u00a0separate cabin to their parent\/legal guardian, providing\u00a0one child is 16 years or over.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Please Note &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>For cruises departing from an Australian\u00a0port between 1 November and 7 January, any passenger\u00a0under 19 years of age on the day they board the cruise,\u00a0must travel in the same cabin as a responsible adult 19\u00a0years or older. In addition, from 8 January to 31 January,\u00a0there is a limit on the number of passengers under 19\u00a0years of age who can travel unaccompanied. Once the\u00a0limit is reached, a responsible adult 19 years or older\u00a0must travel in the same cabin. Reservations can advise\u00a0you at the time of booking whether the limit applies to your booking.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Carnival Cruises Kids Clubs<\/h2>\n<p>Our youth programs provide daily, supervised, FUN-filled\u00a0and age appropriate activities. Our goal is to create\u00a0an environment similar to what children \/ teens would\u00a0experience at a summer camp.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Camp Ocean\/Camp Carnival &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>for children between 2 and\u00a011 years old.\u00a0Split into three age groups; 2-5 years, 6 &#8211; 8\u00a0years, and 9 &#8211; 11 years.\u00a0Located Deck 10 FWD on Carnival Spirit and Deck 5 FWD on Carnival Legend.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Circle \u201cC\u201d &#8211;<\/strong> Young teens between 12 and 14 years old.\u00a0Located Deck 4 FWD.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Club O2 &#8211;<\/strong> for teens between 15 and 17 years old. Located\u00a0Deck 5 FWD on Carnival Spirit and Deck 10 FWD on<br \/>\nCarnival Legend.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Daily Activities &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Camp Ocean\/Camp Carnival\u2019s free of\u00a0charge daily activities run from 10am &#8211; 5pm on sea days.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Babysitting &#8211;\u00a0<\/strong>Night Owls babysitting service runs from\u00a010pm-1am in the Kids Club with a fee of $8 per child,\u00a0per hour.<\/li>\n<li><strong>When the ship is in Port &#8211;<\/strong> Kids Club opens 15min before\u00a0the expected arrival time until 4.30pm.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Children under 2 years old &#8211;<\/strong> have limited availability in the Kids Club. On sea day mornings between 8am &#8211; 10am parents can drop off their child for an $8 per hour, per\u00a0child fee OR stay and play with their child free of charge.\u00a0On port day mornings between 10am &#8211; 12pm parents can\u00a0drop off only for an $8 per hour, per child fee.<\/li>\n<li>Please visit the Kids Club onboard to sign up.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Children with Special Needs<\/h2>\n<p>The following information highlights some of the conditions under which our onboard Carnival Youth Program accepts<br \/>\nchildren with special needs into the respective programs\u00a0(Camp Carnival, Camp Ocean, Circle \u201cC\u201d and Club O2).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Participation:<\/strong> In order to participate in any Carnival\u00a0youth program activities, the parent or legal guardian\u00a0will need to complete a registration form. You will also\u00a0be given a special needs checklist, which will help aid\u00a0the youth staff in how to best serve your child while\u00a0participating in the activities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Age Groups:<\/strong> Children who are within one year of a Carnival Youth Program age group may move down into\u00a0the younger age group.\u00a0Further exceptions will\u00a0be considered on a case by case basis for\u00a0special needs children.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Over 18\u2019s:<\/strong> Children who\u00a0are 18 years old with\u00a0special needs are not\u00a0eligible to participate\u00a0at all in the program, as\u00a0they are legally adults.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Diapers:<\/strong> Should a child still be in diapers and they are\u00a0older\/bigger than what the diaper changing table can hold,\u00a0then the parent or legal guardian will be called to assist.\u00a0Important: Youth staff cannot lift children with\u00a0mobility disabilities.<\/li>\n<li>For more information visit: www.help.carnival.com.au<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Waterorks and Splashzone Areas<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Parental supervision is required for children under 13<\/li>\n<li>Children who are not toilet trained (and those in\u00a0diapers or swim nappies) are not permitted in any of\u00a0the water facilities onboard.<\/li>\n<li>No flotation devices may be worn or carried on the slides<\/li>\n<li>The minimum height requirement for the Twister slide is\u00a0105cm and for Green Thunder it is 1.2m. There is also a<br \/>\nweight limit of 136kg.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What About Costs ?<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Carnival automatically orders cots for infants 23 months of age and younger. The room steward will bring this to the\u00a0guest\u2019s cabin.<\/li>\n<li>If infants are 24 months or older, the adult must request a\u00a0cot from their cabin steward.<\/li>\n<li>Cots are limited in supply and will be distributed on a first\u00a0come, first serve basis.<\/li>\n<li>Guests are welcome to bring their own cot onboard.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Sail and Sign Cards<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Adult guests have the ability to put daily cash limits on\u00a0their Sail &amp; Sign cards for their children who are linked to<br \/>\ntheir account, in their cabin.<\/li>\n<li>Please speak to Guest Services at the start of your cruise.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Dr Seuss&#8217;s Green Eggs &amp; Ham Breakfast<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>$10 cost for Adults &amp; Kids, charged to your Sail &amp; Sign card.<\/li>\n<li>Event is held in the main dining room between 10am-1pm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Shore Excursions<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Children\u2019s Pricing:<\/strong> Selected shore excursions offer\u00a0children\u2019s prices for ages 3 through 12. Enquire at the\u00a0Shore Excursion desk onboard.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Infants:<\/strong> Infants aged 2 and younger sitting on a parents\u00a0lap and therefore not occupying a seat, are not charged<br \/>\nfor most shore excursions. These excursions are indicated\u00a0with the \u2018infants free\u2019 advisory.<\/li>\n<li><strong>All other shore excursions:<\/strong> Shore excursions that require\u00a0each guest to purchase a ticket regardless of age will be\u00a0noted in the specific shore excursion&#8217;s description. If a\u00a0parent would like their infant to occupy a seat, where it is\u00a0not required, then the parent must purchase an excursion\u00a0ticket for the infant at the published excursion price or\u00a0child price, where available.
